Suzie Mc Adam Design, based in Dublin, Ireland, specializes in creating unique interior designs for both period and contemporary homes. Our Studio projects are known for a playful and original style, merging different eras and moments of design seamlessly to create a unique aesthetic.
Based in Monkstown, the design philosophy of the studio is to take the requirements and personality of the client, and the context of the building, and turn those into a unique and stunningly designed space. Our goal is to deliver comprehensive interior designed projects that are aesthetically exciting – enhancing & celebrating the architecture it is surrounded by.
Our Founder, Suzie
Having received an honours degree in Interior Design at the Dublin Institute of Technology in 2010, Suzie Mc Adam left Ireland, to chase her passion and begin her career across the Atlantic in California, working on high-end residential projects for a Palo Alto-based design studio.
On her return to Dublin in 2013, Suzie established an eponymous design studio, which is now established as one of Ireland’s leading interior design consultancies, with an impressive portfolio of projects. In 2019 she was named Image Magazine's Interior Designer of the Year.
With a natural eye and passion for design and her broad knowledge of period and mid-century pieces through to contemporary styles (and where to source them) gives her projects a unique edge and her clients a noteworthy portfolio of projects.
Unswayed by the passing dictates of design trends, she draws on her love of antiques, colour, vintage furniture, textiles and her latest discoveries to deliver an eclectic richness to each interior space she designs.
The Team
Isabelle, a certified chartered accountant with extensive experience gained from working at KPMG and ICON Plc, made a career transition in 2018 to satisfy her yearning for a more creative work atmosphere. Currently serving as the Commercial Director at Suzie McAdam Design, Isabelle plays a vital role in steering the company's commercial trajectory.
Mairead received an Honours Degree in Textile Design from the National College of Art & Design. She has previously been awarded a prize for Innovative & Creative Use of Fabrics from the Design & Crafts Council of Ireland. She received a Post Grad Diploma in Interior Design from the Interior Design Academy of Ireland and also has a background in luxury retail and customer service. An expert in the studio’s vast textile collection, Mairead has a unique flair for combining beautifully textured fabrics with tasteful trims as well as developing unique palettes for her design projects.

Carla is a seasoned senior interior designer leading the residential and commercial projects alongside the directors at Suzie McAdam. She has a BA Honours degree in interior design from TUD. With a passion for crafting sophisticated and inspiring spaces in both high end residential and commercial interior design. Her journey in the world of interior design has been marked by a diverse range of experiences, having previously worked for a renowned Irish commercial interior design studio before finding a home at Suzie Mc Adam design studio.

Dervla is our Operations Manager. She previously has worked in London for a private Qatari Interior Design company and loves all things interiors. She also has property management experience having worked for Cosgrave Property Group for over 8 years and also spent 7 years on the board of directors of the Irish subsidiaries of a Dutch FMCG company.

Alice received an Honors Degree in Interior and Furniture Design from TU Dublin's School for Creative Arts. Graduating top of her class, Alice was awarded ‘Interior Design pProject of the Year 2022’ from TU Dublin. Alice propelled her career in a commercial led studio before solidifying her role as Junior Designer at Suzie Mc Adam Design Studio. Alice has a keen eye for detail and has crafted her skills in Computer Aided Design. Brining function and form at the forefront of her design ethos.

Passionate about art and design, Sarah has honed her creative skills through the Interior Design course at TU Dublin's School for Creative Arts. With over 8 years of experience in luxury retail, she brings a keen eye for aesthetics and a deep understanding of design principles to her work. Her educational journey, culminating in a four-year Bachelor's degree, coupled with her hands-on experience at Suzie McAdam Design, has shaped Sarah into a dedicated design professional. Eager to continue contributing to the studios acclaimed design work she looks forward to further evolving her expertise in the ever-evolving world of design

Deirdre serves as our Managing Director, contributing to the substantial growth of our business since her arrival at the studio in 2017. She has played a pivotal role in shaping the studio into the reputable Interior Design firm it is today. In addition to guiding the company's strategy and managing various operational aspects, Deirdre takes the helm of the design team, ensuring the seamless execution of projects from their initial inquiry to successful completion. Deirdre's professional journey began with studying Interior Architecture at CIT in Cork, and she later joined Suzie to contribute to the expansion and success of the company.

Sarah grew up in Cairo, Egypt, where her intrigue for architecture and design was founded. After completing a Master’s Degree in Interior Design at the University of Westminster in London, she began her career working at some of London’s most prestigious design practices. With over 15 years experience in high-end design, she has worked on a wide range of residential and commercial projects in the UK, Ireland, Middle East and further afield. Sarah is passionate about beautifully detailed and crafted designs and takes a personal approach to every project. After a successful career in London, Sarah has joined the team at Suzie McAdam Design working on our studio’s large-scale projects.
